Gen X Women: Moving Up
- Date: June 14, 2002
- QUOTE: While still underrepresented at the top, they have better -- and more -- jobs, earn more, and work more, according to a new study
- ABSTRACT: This article summarizes the findings of a recent government study regarding women in the workplace. The study presents evidence that many more women are obtaining college degrees and are also working harder and longer after graduation. Although women still earn less than their male counterparts while facing greater workplace challenges, this article presents an optimistic report that the gender gap is closing.
