Campaign for Working Families (CPW)

Self Description

January 2007: "Gary Bauer formed CWF in 1996 to represent the interests and values of America's traditional families in the political arena. Other CWF facts are listed below:

  • In the first two years of operation, CWF raised over $7 million to become the 5th largest PAC in the country for the 1998 election cycle and the leading pro-family, pro-life political action committee in America.

  • CWF used its resources to raise public awareness of partial-birth abortion through extensive media campaigns and distributed two million pieces of literature through our voter education program.

  • During the 1998 election cycle, the Campaign for Working Families supported over 200 candidates for public office. Sixty-four percent of CWF's endorsed candidates for Congress won their races.

  • In the final days of the 2000 campaign, CWF spent tens of thousands of dollars on a massive 12-state Get-Out-The-Vote drive on behalf of George W. Bush and Republican candidates down the ballot...."
