December 2005: "In a controversial 1999 decision the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in New York held that Hobart Corp. was liable for failing to put a warning label on a meat grinder in which an employee lost his hand. The safety guard that was on the grinder when it left the factory in 1961 was sawed off some years later. The company was nevertheless found negligent for failing to anticipate how future owners would alter the machine."
